Maryborough Open Gardens

About us

Maryborough Open Gardens is an annual event when private gardens in Maryborough (Queensland) and surrounds are opened to the public to enjoy, gain inspiration, learn about what grows in the region and simply share the love of gardening.   Visitors are treated to a wide range of garden sizes and styles from the formal to quirky and artistic and small to large acreage. A small entry fee is charged with some gardens having fund raising events including plant sales and refreshments. Award Winner

Maryborough Open Gardens (Maryborough Horticultural Society) were Winners in the Events and Event Management Category at the 2021 Fraser Coast Business and Tourism Awards on Friday 5 November 2021. This was an honour for us and reflected the hard work, passion and commitment of the participating garden owners and volunteer sub-committee of the Maryborough Horticultural Society.

The 2024 Maryborough Open Gardens is a collaborative partnership between the Maryborough Horticultural Society Inc, Maryborough Pensioners Association Inc and the local community. We would like to thank the Fraser Coast Regional Council for past support.
