2023 Maryborough, “Stirling” 14 North Street

Town Garden Open Saturday 26 August 2023

14 North Street, Maryborough

Your visit is a celebration to the grounds and gardens that were initially established over 140 years ago. Evolving over time, enhancements and plantings provide enchantment and grace – a stunning and befitting landscape for the imposing and magnificent house – Stirling.

Newly planted shrubs, flowers and trees are bursting with growth. Replanted hedges of Murraya and Gardenias are now established – defining the sections of the garden areas. The heavily trimmed Persimmon and Frangipani are sprouting, supported by luscious new garden beds beneath.

The two working fountains give serene sounds and are home to the fish families. At the same time, providing a bath and drinking facility for glorious bird life that Stirling attracts.

Living Garden Easels throughout the garden give splashes of colour and provide imagination, along with arrays of hanging floral baskets. A multitude of hand-painted pretty pots adorn the garden in several areas showing off succulent displays.

The Crocus Memorial Garden embraces the front entrance of the house, celebrating the lives and love of the owners’ beloved pussy cats. Enjoy discovering beautiful peaceful nooks that beg for a book and a cuppa.

Stirling’s gardens feature bird baths, restored wooden benches, floral window boxes and large floral pots nestled amongst the hedges.

Discover the new Studio Garden which is an artist’s peaceful retreat, featuring a Whisker Wall and an interesting colourful hanging garden. A gentle space for peace and tranquillity.

The owners welcome you to Stirling and hope that you will enjoy your visit during the Maryborough Open Gardens.
