Living with Mary Poppins, Jane and Michael Banks discover the extraordinary possibilities of apparently ordinary things.
One of the best places for these surprising adventures to take place was in the park.
Stories and images would magically come to life and the children might find themselves inside entirely new miniature worlds.
Sometimes they didn’t know what was real and what was the story, as things seemed to shrink and grow at the same time. It was all quite astonishing.
Mary’s Garden at The Story Bank is a place where you can also let your imagination run free.
Be like the Park Keeper on Midsummer’s Eve, who forgot the bye-laws for a moment and was suddenly transported back to the innocence and whimsy of his childhood!
