Hervey Bay Historical Village and Museum

At Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum (Zephyr Street, Scarness) you can step back in time into the 1890s slab cottage and meet Tom and Sarah. Wander over to the Carriage Shed and see the two guys cutting a log with the 2 man chainsaw. Take a stroll around the forest garden at the back and see if you can find the carved animals and birds lurking in the trees. Bring your own picnic if you wish and use the provided covered tables, or our brand new covered BBQ area. Hot water available.
Say “Hi” to our Butcher birds, magpies and wagtails.
You can check out the restored Dundowran School, laid out just as it was in the 1890s. On Sundays between 1pm and 3pm the blacksmith, wood turner, corn sheller and rope maker demonstrate their craft and you can also purchase souvenirs.
