The garden at Macca’s Inn is relatively young at 5 years of age. When the current owners purchased the property it was so over grown, that you couldn’t even see the original beach shack, which dates back to the 1960s, let alone see the beautiful vista of the Sandy Strait and K’Gari (Fraser Island).  

With lots of landscaping, transplanting palms and building a new house, you will see what has been lovingly created over the past 5 years.  The garden consists of a rose garden, fruit trees, vegetable garden, mini rainforest, ferneries, hedges, chooks and lots of surprises around every corner including special areas just to sit and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

The owners have a love of anthuriums with many different colours on display; and they also enjoy sharing their knowledge of gardening and propagation with friends, family and now Open Garden visitors.

During the Open Garden there will be plants and tea and coffee for sale.

Garden entry will be subject to Queensland Government COVID-19 Directives and we ask all visitors to be respectful of any additional requirements that we need to put in place to ensure that visitors and owners are kept safe.
