Rain made an enormous difference at Yengarie Gallery & Garden. Last year the dam was empty. This year, it has filled to the brim numerous times and the garden is looking a treat. The gum trees have doubled in size, plants have a new lease on life and the entire garden is coming into its own.
Thirteen years in the ‘growing’ and there is always something new to enjoy in the 3 ½ acres of gardens. The Tropical Garden understory is lush and the Japanese Chapel Garden canopy is well on the way to covering the space, with bromeliads adding colour.
The Maryborough Garden Club will have morning tea and light lunch for $5 and plant and arts for sale. The owners, Robin and Suzanne’s artwork is in and around the garden, adding to the interest every way you turn.
This is a garden to stroll through, take time to sit and breathe in the very peacefulness of each of the dozen garden rooms. It is a destination, one to savour and enjoy.
